NatWest opens longer to help buyers onto property ladder

THE NatWest branch in Yeovil is opening until 7pm this week to help buyers with 5% deposits onto the property ladder.

The branches in Yeovil, Dorchester and Weymouth will be opening late this week to give homebuyers information on the Government’s new Help to Buy scheme.NatWest opens longer to help buyers onto property ladder

For the second week in a row the branches will open until 7pm tonight (Wedneday, October 23, 2013) and tomorrow (Thursday, October 24, 2013).

The new scheme announced last week gives buyers the chance to get a mortgage with as little as 5% deposit – and unlike previous schemes it is not just open to first time buyers or on new homes.

NatWest Local CEO for South Dorset, Mark Dulwich, said: “We are opening until 7pm to make our advisers available to as many people as possible who’d like to find out about the Help to Buy scheme.

“I urge anyone to come in - whether they are first-time buyers, families looking to upsize or anyone wanting to explore the opportunity.

“This is a huge development as it will help so many people in different situations to get onto – or move up – the property ladder; which is particularly important in Somerset and Dorset where house prices are high.”

In the first week of the scheme, four applicants in the region were approved for a 95% mortgage and dozens more have made enquiries.

Mr Dulwich added: “This scheme is not just for existing NatWest customers – so pop in for a chat and coffee.”
