YEOVIL NEWS: Second arrest over stabbing incident

POLICE have arrested a second person after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in Yeovil on Monday (November 6, 2017) night.

Two people are now in custody – a 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy – after being arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

The victim is now in a stable condition in hospital.

A police spokesman, speaking on Tuesday (November 7, 2017) morning, said: “We believe he was attacked in the library car park off Monmouth Road at just before 10pm last night.

“House-to-house enquiries will continue in the area today and we’re still appealing for anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the Monmouth Road and Sherwell Close area last night to come forward.”
