YEOVIL NEWS: Teenage girls approached by man in town centre

POLICE have issued the image of a person they are keen to speak with in connection with two separate incidents in which teenage girls were approached by a man who then made inappropriate comments to them in Yeovil town centre.

The first incident happened at about 5.15pm outside Kaspa in Middle Street on September 19, 2017. The 16-year-old girl was standing outside the premises when she was approached by a man who made an inappropriate comment to her.

And then on September 20, 2017, a 17-year-old girl was sat on a bench in the Quedam Shopping Centre at about 1.25pm when she was approached by a man who began talking to her. He made an inappropriate suggestion and left, walking off past the former BHS shop, via Glovers Walk towards the bus station and lower town area.

A police spokesman said: “We are issuing an image of a man we would like to speak to in connection with the incident. We believe he may have information to help our enquiries.”

Police would like the man, or anyone recognising him, to contact them, quoting 5217215006 or 5217223853.
