YEOVIL NEWS: Man left with serious head injuries

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Yeovil in which a man suffered serious head injuries.

The victim, a 35-year-old man, was assaulted in Kiddles between 2am and 2.40am on Saturday (June 17, 2017) morning.

He has been undergoing emergency treatment at Southmead Hospital in Bristol, where he is in a critical condition.

A police spokesman said: “A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is in custody for questioning.

“We’re carrying out forensic and house-to-house enquiries at the scene.
