PUB NEWS: Brave the Shave at the Black Horse

FUNDS for Macmillan Cancer Support will be raised at the Black Horse pub in Yeovil today (Saturday, August 22, 2015) as part of the Brave the Shave campaign.

Daring Becky Fuller will have her head shaved to raise funds for the charity and will be looking for onlookers to dig deep and help swell the coffers.

The shave is happening at around 5pm, while food will be served from around 3.30pm onwards.

There will be a raffle at 7pm where some fab prizes will be won, while local band Banana High will be playing during the evening with Steve Carpenter on hand to lend some compere skills at the Black Horse which can be found off of Reckleford by The Avenue.

A pub spokesman said: “It’s going to be a fabulous day of fundraising for a fantastic cause.”

Brave the Shave in August is becoming a nationwide phenomenon with people up and down the country showing their support for people with cancer by getting sponsored to grab the clippers and shave off their hair.
