SOMERSET NEWS: Police appeal over M5 death

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision on the M5 near Taunton.

At about 6.50pm yesterday (Sunday, May 31, 2015), an articulated lorry was in collision with a male pedestrian on the carriageway between junctions 26 and 25 northbound.

A police spokesman said: “The victim, a 46-year-old man from Taunton, died at the scene from his injuries. His next of kin have been informed.

“A full examination of the scene was carried out last night which resulted in both carriageways being closed for several hours.”
