SOMERSET NEWS: Woman taken to hospital

A FEMALE casualty was taken to hospital this afternoon (Saturday, February 28, 2015) following reports of a crash in Taunton.

The alarm was raised at just before 4.30pm to the incident in Wellington New Road and two fire engines and a rescue tender from Taunton were mobilised.

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Firefighters confirmed the casualty was not trapped in the vehicle, but was being seen to be paramedics.

“Crews made the vehicle safe and assisted police with moving the vehicle.”

The spokesman added: “The casualty was taken to hospital by ambulance.”
