YEOVIL NEWS: Trapped in overturned vehicle

TWO casualties were left trapped in a vehicle after it overturned in the early hours of this morning (Saturday, September 27, 2014) on the outskirts of Yeovil.

The alarm was raised at just after 3.30am to the incident in Stoford with the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service getting reports of a vehicle on its roof after being in collision with parked cars and a wall.

A Fire Service spokesman told the Yeovil Press that two fire engines and a rescue tender were mobilised to the scene.

“Crews found two casualties trapped within the overturned vehicle and set about using hydraulic cutting and stabilising equipment to get access for paramedics to assess the casualties.

“The two male casualties were released by the Fire Service personnel and left in the care of the Ambulance Service. The incident was handed over to the police.”
