SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Man locked in churchyard

FIREFIGHTERS were called out tonight (Friday, September 26, 2014) to help rescue a man and his dog who had accidentally got locked in a churchyard.

One fire engine was called out to St Mary’s Church just off of Chard town centre at just after 8.45pm.

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman told the Yeovil Press: “Firefighters were able to contact the church warden who was able to attend to unlock the gate and release the man and his dog unharmed.”
