YEOVIL NEWS: Woman taken to hospital after A37 crash

A FEMALE was taken to hospital this afternoon (Wednesday, July 30, 2014) following a car accident on the A37 between Yeovil and Ilchester.

The Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call at just before 2.30pm and two fire engines and a rescue tender from Yeovil were mobilised.

A Fire Service spokesman told the Yeovil Press: “Fire crews confirmed a two-vehicle road traffic collision with one female casualty complaining of back pain. She was not trapped, but was still seated inside the car.

“Fire crews got the casualty out of the car by using hydraulic cutting equipment and she was taken to hospital by ambulance.”
