50-plus jobs planned for new B&M store in Yeovil

MORE than 50 jobs will be created with the forthcoming opening of a new retail store in Yeovil.

The national retailer B&M will be occupying the former PC World and Allied Carpets units on Lysander Road.

B&M has more than 370 stores and employs 17,000 staff around the UK and attracts around three millions customers through its doors each week with a wide selection of branded products and own label products including toys, soft furnishings, home and gardening ranges.

A B&M spokesman told the Yeovil Press this morning (Thursday, March 20, 2014) that the company was looking forward to opening in the town and becoming a part of the local community.

“The new 23,000sq ft store is expected to be open in May and we look forward to becoming an integral part of the local community in Yeovil," said the spokesman.

“At B&M, we recruit for attitude and train for skill. We always believe that our colleagues make the store what it is and we are now recruiting for both management and shop floor positions at our new store.”

All jobs are being advertised via the B&M website.
