Viva Pitch proving an online smash hit!

ONLINE video footage of Yeovil Town FC's very own girlband Viva Pitch making their debut performance at Huish Park on Saturday (February 8, 2014) has already gained more than 40,000 views.

The girls performed their first-ever single, Running, on the pitch just before the kick-off of Yeovil’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Leeds United.

All proceeds from the charity single will go directly to Prostate Cancer UK and the project has been backed by the Football League.

The girlband idea has not been met with universal approval from Yeovil Town fans, but the fact that video footage of the group's first performance has gained more than 40,000 views in three days has delighted the girls and the club. 

The Viva Pitch girls Lisa, Nicola, Danie and Molly will be performing at each of Yeovil’s remaining home games this season.

So they will be back in action tonight (Tuesday, February 11, 2014) ahead of Yeovil’s important Championship clash with Millwall.
