Police appeal after woman airlifted to Frenchay Hospital

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman in her 20s suffered serious injuries in a car accident near Crewkerne and had to be airlifted to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol.

A two-car collision took place on the A356 at Turnpike Cross in Misterton on Sunday (February 9, 2014) afternoon at just after 12.30pm.

The incident involved a dark blue Toyota Hilux and a dark blue 3 series BMW.

A passenger in the BMW suffered the serious injuries and had to be airlifted to hospital.

Investigating officer PC Andy Grigg, of the collision investigation unit, is appealing for witnesses to the collision to come forward.
