Speedwatch plans for Larkhill Road

PEOPLE living at the top end of Larkhill Road in Yeovil are joining forces to discuss plans to start a Community Speedwatch in the area.

Residents living near Larkhill Road’s junction with Thorne Lane are concerned about motorists putting their foot down and have spoken with their Somerset County Council representative Cllr Jane Lock.

Members of Yeovil Without Parish Council heard this week that there were problems with speeding drivers from around the junction of Stiby Road to the roundabout with Thorne Lane either side of where Larkhill Road goes uphill.

Police have said they would be more than happy to help in the setting up of a formal Community Speedwatch group in the area.
