Abseil coins in cash for Flying Colours Appeal

ORGANISERS of the Flying Colours Appeal hope that around £11,500 will have been raised from the charity abseil held today (Saturday, November 9, 2013) down the side of Yeovil District Hospital.

Around 50 daredevils took the plunge and the money they raised will go towards the £500,000 campaign to build a bigger and better special care baby unit at the hospital.

Community fundraiser for the Flying Colours Appeal, Sarah Cherry, said she would like to thank everyone who took part in today’s abseil and for their continued support.

“A rough count has been done and it looks like the abseil raised £11,500 for the special care baby unit,” she said. “Thank you to everyone who took part, sponsored and supported.”
