Motorcyclist suffers broken arm

A MOTORCYCLIST was left with a broken arm after being involved in a collision on the main A37 between Yeovil and Ilchester this morning (Sept 5, 2013).

The collision occurred at around 7.35am at Ilchester and involved a motorcycle and a car.

The motorcyclist was taken to YeovilDistrictHospital where he was to have surgery on a fractured arm.

A police spokesman said: “The road was closed until around 12.15pm while the emergency services dealt with the incident.

“We know some motorists stopped at the scene to help, but left before we arrived.”

The spokesman added: “We would like to speak to those people and anyone else who witnessed the collision – they should phone 101.”
