Hen party shocker for former Yeovil schoolgirl

THE daughter of former Yeovil pub licensees has hit the national headlines after being caught up in a hen party stink – quite literally – because of a decomposing body in the guesthouse they were staying at!

Chelsea Montgomery and other female party-goers were left gagging because of the terrible smell coming from a room in the guesthouse they were staying in at Southend-on-Sea last weekend.

The smell was so bad that some of them were sick, but they were left in state of shock when investigations revealed that the cause was that of a rotting corpse.Hen party shocker for former Yeovil schoolgirl

Chelsea was just a schoolgirl at Huish Primary School when she and her younger sister, Jordan, plus their mum and dad Nibs and Suzzanne, left The Armoury pub in The Park, Yeovil, and headed for pastures new in the mid-1990s.

Move on nearly 20 years and Chelsea, now aged 26, and living in Windsor, Berkshire, has today (Wednesday, August 13, 2013) found herself on the pages of The Sun national newspaper after talking about the unfortunate turn of events in Southend.

“It was the hen do from hell,” she told The Sun.

It is understood that the body of the unnamed man, thought to have been in his 40s, had been there for some days. He was living at the guest house as a permanent tenant and as such cleaners could not go into his room without permission.

But with growing concerns about the terrible smell - a cleaner went into the room on Saturday morning and made the tragic discovery. Police were called and this week told The Sun that the death was not being treated as suspicious.

The party-goers said they felt it was terrible to think that someone had died and left unnoticed for days and was only discovered after they had complained about the smell.

It will be one hen party Chelsea and her pals will not forget for a long time.

But it has not been the first time Chelsea has made the national newspapers. Chelsea became the youngest official fan of Chelsea Football Club after her dad Nibs, himself an ardent fan of the Stamford Bridge outfit, registered her with the supporters’ club within moments of her being born.
