FIFA 13 football tournament in Yeovil

BRITISH sport may be enjoying a renaissance this summer but teenagers in Yeovil will be able to test their gaming skills and sports knowledge on the big screen this August thanks to a major FIFA 13 Football Tournament which is being held at Preston Sports Centre.

Computer-gamers who want to go up against the sharpest and the best will be able to test their skills on the big screen in the sports hall of Preston Sports Centre from 12 noon on Thursday, August 8.

The tournament is open to youngsters aged 12 years and over and the grand final will be held at 3pm.

The leisure service manager at Preston Sports Centre, Matt Harras, said that the summer holidays can prove to be a challenging time for teenagers and their parents and the tournament is a fun way to keep this hard to reach group entertained.

“It is always difficult to find new ways to keep teenagers happy during the long summer break the but FIFA 13 is very popular game with this age group and by bringing them together in an organised way using a big screen, makes it all the more fun for everyone involved,” he added.

Entry to the competition is £3 - refreshments are available and a prize will be awarded to the winner.
