Hot stuff for RNAS Yeovilton's International Air Day!

SUN hats and sun block cream will be the order of the day at RNAS Yeovilton’s annual International Air Day today (Saturday, July 13).

The weather is going to be absolutely superb for the event and Air Day is due some good conditions after a number of indifferent years.

Teamwork is the backbone of Yeovilton’s day-to-day operations and the heartbeat of its squadron’s many overseas deployments.

And today’s Air Day theme will be teamwork and will be much in evidence in the air.

World-class formation teamwork will be showcased by the RAF Red Arrows and the Royal Jordanian Falcons displays.

RNAS Yeovilton’s home team will demonstrate operational tactics and techniques during their Maritime Role Demo and Commando Assault displays.

The flying display at today’s Air Day kicks-off at 11am with the ever-popular Red Arrows.

Around 35,000 are expected to descend on Yeovilton today. Tickets are available at the gate.
