Four people taken to hospital after A303 crash

FOUR people were taken to hospital yesterday (Saturday, March 9) following an accident on the A303 between South Petherton and the Cartgate Link Road on the edge of Yeovil.Four people taken to hospital after A303 crash

The alarm was raised at around 1.45pm to reports of an accident involving one vehicle which was left on its roof.

One fire engine from Martock and one from Crewkerne attended, along with police officers and ambulance paramedics.

Two females and two males were free of the vehicle by the time the Fire Service personnel got to the scene.

A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: ''Fire crews made the vehicle safe, assisted police in clearing the roadway to allow traffic to pass and left the incident in the hands of the police and ambulance crews.''

The spokesman added: ''The four casualties were transported to hospital by ambulance with slight injuries.''
