Freemasons back St Margaret's Hospice

SOMERSET Freemasons have presented St Margaret’s Hospice in Yeovil with a grant of £3,271 from their national charity, the Freemasons’ Grand Charity.

This generous donation is part of the total figure of nearly £9.9 million donated by the charity since 1984 to the operating costs of hospice services across England and Wales.

Speaking about the donation John Winston, Assistant Provincial Grand Master for Somerset, said: “Somerset Freemasons are proud to be able to provide this support for Hospices in Somerset once again.

This grant is part of the total of £600,000 Freemasons have donated this year to the 239 Hospices in England & Wales.  In the current economic climate we recognise the increased importance of supporting services such as this; helping our local community is important to Somerset Freemasons."
