SOMERSET NEWS: Elderly men get stuck in lift

TWO elderly men were rescued this afternoon (Sunday, May 18, 2014) after getting stuck in a lift. The alarm was raised at just after 1.30pm to the incident at Coal Orchard in St James Street, Taunton. Two fire engines from Taunton were mobilised and officers released the men uninjured from the lift using small tools.

FOUR people had to be rescued yesterday (Saturday, May 17, 2014) after getting stuck in a lift. The alarm was raised at just after 3.45pm to the scene in Compass Rise, Taunton, and firefighters used small tools and a lift key to release the people.

A JACK Russell dog was rescued yesterday (Saturday, May 17, 2014) after getting stuck in two metal gate bars. One fire engine from Glastonbury attended the incident at just after 3pm which happened at Strawberry Hill in Street. Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to release the dog.
