YEOVIL NEWS: Woman, 31, charged with murder following Chilthorne Domer incident

A 31-year-old woman has been charged with murder following the death of a man at Yeovil District Hospital.

Police reported yesterday (Friday, May 14, 2021) that they attended a property in Chilthorne Domer, near Yeovil, at 4.45am following the reports of an injured man.

The man was taken by paramedics to Yeovil Hospital where he sadly died, while a woman was detained in police custody.

This evening (Saturday, May 15, 2021) police announced that Hayley Keating, 31, had been charged with the murder of 45-year-old Matthew Wormleighton who had died as a result of injuries sustained in an incident at a property in Forts Orchard.

“A post-mortem examination concluded the preliminary cause of death as a single stab wound,” said a police spokesman.

The police statement added that Keating, of Forts Orchard, Chilthorne Domer, has been remanded in custody pending an appearance at Yeovil Magistrates’ Court on Monday (May 17, 2021).
