YEOVIL NEWS: Firefighters deal with car fire in Preston Road

FIREFIGHTERS were called out on Tuesday (January 2, 2018) afternoon to deal with a car on fire in Yeovil.

The alarm was raised at 2.45pm to the incident off Preston Road and three fire engines and a water carrier from Yeovil, along with one fire engine from Sherborne, were mobilised.

On arrival the firefighters found the building to be well alight and they quickly got to work to deal with the situation.

“Crews requested an ambulance to attend for one male casualty who was suffering from burns,” said a Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.

The garage was in a row of four stone garages which sustained 75 per cent accidental fire damage in the incident.
