YEOVIL NEWS: Charity money stolen in hair salon burglary

BURGLARS have stolen charity money and tips which had been given to hairdressers at a Yeovil hair salon.

The Altered Image salon in Greenwood Road was broken into sometime overnight Tuesday/Wednesday (December 12-13, 2017) having smashed their way in through the front door.

The salon has now put out a message on its social networking Facebook page for anyone who knows anything about the incident or has information to either get in touch or contact the police on 101.

“We all work so hard here in the salon and many of our girls had their tips stolen in the burglary,” said the message. “We have even had our charity raffle money stolen.”

GHD hair straighteners were also stolen in the burglary and people have been asked to be wary if they are offered any to buy.

Altered Image has thanked clients for being so understanding on Wednesday morning when the burglary had been first discovered.
