YEOVIL NEWS: Vandals repeatedly attack woodland playzone at Ninesprings

PEOPLE are being urged to contact the police if they see anyone who is vandalising a children’s area at the Yeovil Country Park.

Countryside rangers at the park – better known as Ninesprings – are becoming increasingly fed-up with vandals who are continually damaging a woodland play zone.

The yobs have repeatedly gone on the rampage in the specially themed mystical fairy-inspired area and ripped off doors, broken benches, thrown litter about the place and caused just general mayhem.

Although the rangers try to repair the damage as quickly as possible it comes at a time when they have to manage the rapidly growing vegetation of the park, normal maintenance routines and public events.

“It takes a considerable amount of time to repair and replace the damaged equipment,” said a countryside ranger.

“If anyone sees somebody acting suspiciously in the area or know who is committing this criminal damage please report it to the police.”
