YEOVIL NEWS: Vehicle on fire in car park

FIREFIGHTERS were called out on Friday (January 6, 2017) to deal with a vehicle on fire at a car park in Yeovil.

The alarm was raised at just before 10am to the problem in a car park off Lysander Road.

One fire engine from Yeovil was mobilised and discovered a vehicle well alight.

“The fire was confined to the engine compartment and was caused by mechanical failure,” said a spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service. “Duty of care was left with the owner.”
