SOMERSET NEWS: Jack Russell dog gets stuck in piping

A FOUR-YEAR-OLD Jack Russell dog had to be rescued earlier today (Sunday, August 14, 2016) after getting stuck in some piping.

The alarm was raised at just after 1.30pm to the problem in Easton Hill, Wells, and two fire engines from Wells were mobilised along with a rescue tender from Glastonbury.

Firefighters found the dog trapped in the metal drainage pipe which was 8mms in diameter.

Crews used chimney rods, guide lines, a flexi cam, hand tools and a steel saw to release the dog.
