SOMERSET NEWS: Two people taken to hospital after car fire
TWO people were taken to hospital by ambulance in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday, June 1, 2016) following a car fire near Taunton.
The alarm was raised at just before 2.30am to the problem at Maidenbrook Lane in Cheddon Fitzpaine and two fire engines from Taunton were mobilised following a call from police.
Firefighters discovered one car to be well alight with all persons free and clear of the vehicle.
But a spokesman for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: “Two casualties were taken to hospital by ambulance.”
