YEOVIL NEWS: Car fire at Asda

FIREFIGHTERS were called out this morning (Monday, May 9, 2016) to deal with a car on fire at the Asda store in Yeovil.

The alarm was raised at just before 11.45am to the problem at the store’s car park in Preston Road.

One fire engine from Yeovil was mobilised and firefighters found there had been a small fire in the engine compartment of the vehicle, but was out by the time they had arrived at the scene.

“The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental,” said a spokesman for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
