SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Arson attack on trailer

ARSONISTS are being blamed for setting fire to a trailer carrying seven tonnes of hay near Yeovil.

The alarm was raised at just before 5am to the incident at Hurst, Martock, and two fire engines attended the scene.

“The trailer and six to seven tonnes of hay were damaged in the fire,” said a spokesman for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.

“The cause of the fire was deemed to be deliberate ignition. Police attended the incident.”
