SOMERSET NEWS: Hot tub explodes in garage blaze

FIREFIGHTERS were called out after a hot tub exploded in a garage at a home near Taunton.

The incident happened at just after 12.30pm this afternoon (Thursday, April 7, 2016) at an address in Bradford on Tone and fire engines from Taunton and Wellington were mobilised.

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “On arrival the crews confirmed that the hot tub was already completely destroyed by fire and got to work putting the fire out in the garage which was of wooden construction.”

Firefighters rescued two dogs from within the garage and later said that the cause of the incident was accidental.
