SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Man's body found in woodland

THE body of a man found in woodland between Bruton and Wincanton is believed to be that of missing Robert Makgill.

Police were called at 10.50am on Saturday (August 29, 2015) by a member of the public after they had found a man’s body.

A police spokesman said: “Although a formal identification procedure is yet to take place, we believe it to be 45-year-old missing man Robert Makgill from Bruton.

“His death is not being treated as suspicious and his family have been informed.”

Mr Makgill had not been seen since July 8, 2015.
