CARNIVAL: Let’s get this party started!

CARNIVALITES will be converging on the Millennium Hall in Seavington tonight (Friday, August 28, 2015) for a Pre-Carnival Party.

Everyone associated with Carnival and its supporters are more than welcome to attend the event which will include the Carnival Roadshow Disco and ever-popular mouse racing.

The party will see Gary Lawrence of Ilminster’s Gemini CC provide the disco, while Harlequin CC members, also from Ilminster, will lay on the bar and mouse racing.

Members of Eclipse CC, from Chard, will provide the catering.

Funds raised from the party will go towards the SouthSomersetCarnivalPark project where organisers are hoping to create a headquarters in the area to be used as a base by Carnival clubs.

It is understood that tickets can be bought on the door.

Dates for the Carnivals on the South Somerset Federation are as follows:Wellington – Saturday, September 26, 2015; Ilminster – Saturday, October 3, 2015; Chard – Saturday, October 10, 2015; Taunton – Saturday, October 17, 2015.
