YEOVIL NEWS: Woman punched in face in Country Park assault

POLICE are appealing for the public’s help in identifying a woman who may have information about an assault in Yeovil.

The incident happened in Yeovil Country Park - better known as Ninesprings - at around 6.20pm on Saturday (July 4, 2015).

A police spokesman said: “A woman was assaulted by another woman near a play park. She was punched in the face several times and required hospital treatment.

“The woman is described as white, in her late 40’s, 5ft 8ins with tanned complexion and dark hair, which was tied back. She had facial piercings and was wearing a pink floral dress. She was in the company of a man and woman at the time.”

The police spokesman added: “We would like anyone who recognises the description of woman or has any information about the incident to contact us.”
