SOMERSET NEWS: Woman grabs hold of child’s collar in Asda

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an incident with occurred in a Somerset supermarket in which a woman grabbed hold of a child.

The incident occurred at around 7.10pm on Friday, March 27, 2015, in the vegetable aisle of the Asda store in East Quay, Bridgwater.

A five-year-old girl was shopping with her mother when an unknown female grabbed hold of the child’s collar and then walked away.

A police spokesman said: “The suspect is described as white, around 5’1” tall, in her 30-40’s, slight build, with dark hair and blonde streaks in a ponytail. She was a wearing black denim jacket and jeans with black boots.”
