PUB NEWS: Easter Sunday lunch at The Castle

THE Castle pub and restaurant in West Coker is offering a mouth-watering menu for Easter Sunday freshly prepared by its new chef.

The pub is offering a main meal for £9.50 and a dessert for £3.95, while you can also have some delicious homemade soup for a starter, also priced £3.95.

For starters you can choose between carrot and coriander soup or leek and potato soup, both of which will be served with a warm bread roll.

The selection of main courses are as follows: Locally sourced roast turkey crown served with stuffing, bacon wrapped chipolata, and cranberry sauce; Succulent roast beef, accompanied with Yorkshire pudding and horseradish sauce. Both dishes are served with a selection of seasonal vegetables with a rich roast gravy.

The selection of homemade desserts are as follows: Belgian chocolate torte, served with vanilla ice-cream; Poached pear, served with a wine syrup and clotted cream; Delicious banana trifle.

The Castle can also provide a vegetarian option for diners.
