YEOVIL NEWS: Official opening for Premier Inn and Beefeater

THE Mayor of Yeovil, Cllr Mike Lock, and members of Yeovil Town FC will be on hand later today (Wednesday, April 1, 2015) to officially open the new Premier Inn and Beefeater facilities in the town.

Cllr Lock is due to be joined by the Glovers’ acting manager Terry Skiverton and players – as well as the club’s Jolly Green Giant mascot – for the ceremonial ribbon-cutting at just before 12.30pm.

The Premier Inn, owned by Whitbread PLC, in Lower Middle Street provides 80 bedrooms and includes an on-site Beefeater Grill Restaurant.

Bosses have said that the new hotel – based at the former Somerfield and YMCA site – will create 25 jobs for the local area.
