YEOVIL NEWS: Castaways do the town proud in London!

MEMBERS of the Yeovil-based Castaway Theatre Group thrilled a 1,500-strong audience on Sunday (March 29, 2015) on a West End stage.

The Castaways appeared in a show, West End Dreams, along with other theatrical and dance groups from around the country at the Theatre Royal in the famous Drury Lane.

The show was put together by 1640 Theatre Productions and the Castaways performed three routines from ever-popular musicals The Wizard of Oz, Matilda and Hairspray.

The Castaways’ convoy of three coaches of performers and supporters left Yeovil at 6am on Sunday in order to get to the Theatre Royal in plenty of time for rehearsals in readiness for the show that evening.

They eventually arrived home at 3am on Monday morning.

It had been a long day for the Castaways but once again they had a memorable time and did the town proud.
