EASTER 2015: Town centre activities at Yeovil Market

TEST your hunting and hat making skills this Easter when Yeovil Market hosts an Easter egg hunt on Good Friday (April 3, 2015) and Easter hat competition on Friday, April 10, 2015.

TEST your hunting and hat making skills this Easter when Yeovil Market hosts and Easter Egg Hunt and an Easter Hat competition.

Some of the stall holders at Yeovil Market and the surrounding shops will be placing pictures of Easter eggs on their stalls and in shop windows which will enable children to claim their free chocolate mini Easter egg from each location they find. The Easter egg hunt will start on Good Friday (April 3, 2015) from 10am and finish at 2pm.

There is also the chance for your children to get creative and take part in an Easter hat competition on Friday, April 10, 2015, with judging starting at 11am at the bandstand in Middle Street. Please arrive by 10.45am and there is free entry for children aged between two and 11 and all prizes have kindly been donated by Asda Yeovil. South Somerset District Council’s neighbourhood development officer, Marie Ainsworth, said: “This is the first year we have run any Easter competitions in conjunction with Yeovil Markets. We hope these family friendly events will create a great atmosphere and will give the traders a chance to showcase what’s on offer. There will also be some live music throughout the day.”

The Easter hat competition will be judged by the Octagon Theatre’s arts and entertainment manager Adam Burgan.
