SOMERSET NEWS: Bedroom fire at home near Taunton

FIREFIGHTERS were called out to deal with a bedroom fire at a property near Taunton.

Two fire engines from Taunton and one from Bridgwater attended the scene at Curload, Stoke St Gregory, when the alarm was raised at just before 8am this morning (Saturday, December 13, 2014).

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman told the Yeovil Press: “On arrival crews confirmed that the fire involved a halogen heater in an upstairs bedroom. The fire was out, but the upstairs was smoke logged.

“An ambulance attended for one female suffering from smoke inhalation.”
