SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Centenarian celebrations for George

THERE were celebrations at the Vaughan Lee House in Ilminster when one of the residents celebrated their 100th birthday.

Friends and family of George Evans were able to join him at the home earlier this month and provided a delicious cake to mark the occasion and among the many cards received was one from the Queen.

Born in the hamlet of Isle Brewers, the middle of three children, George always walked to school in Hambridge.SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Centenarian celebrations for George
