SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Registration plate on wanted vehicle confirmed in Bruton hit and run

POLICE have this afternoon (Monday, October 20, 2014) said that they are still looking for a black Chrysler Grand Voyager wanted in connection with a fatal hit and run incident in Bruton last week.

The incident happened at about 8.35pm on Tuesday (October 14, 2014). The man, aged 84, was going to a local shop with his two dogs.

He was found lying in the road with serious head injuries shortly afterwards. Despite being given treatment at the scene he died later.

Last week the police advised that the registration number of the vehicle they are looking for was DS 02 NH1 – but officers have today said that the number is actually DS 02 NHY.

“Apologies for any inconvenience caused,” said a police spokesman. “Anyone knowing the whereabouts of the vehicle should contact Yeovil CID immediately on the force number 101.”
