YEOVIL NEWS: Battle against drugs goes on

HEROIN and crack cocaine have been seized by police in latest operations as the on-going battle against drugs in Yeovil continues.

A police spokesman told the Yeovil Press that officers had made a number of arrests in recent weeks as they look to disrupt illegal drug activity in the area.

“We’ve obtained seizures of heroin and crack cocaine as well as a warrant which recovered amphetamine, MDMA and cannabis,” said the spokesman.

But the battle continues and police are asking – once again – for the public’s help in targeting suspected drug dealers.

The spokesman added: “Drugs can do real damage to any community and drug dealers ruin everyone’s quality of life.
