YEOVIL NEWS: Here we go with netting plan?

PEOPLE living next to a football pitch in Yeovil will be hoping that planning permission is given the go-ahead to help protect their homes and gardens from wayward shots.

Bucklers Mead Academy has applied to South Somerset District Council for the go-ahead to install six-metre high ball netting for 25-metres behind a pitch adjacent to properties in St Marys Crescent.

“The netting will help to protect the properties from balls damaging them,” said the Academy’s Andrew Buse.

The application will be discussed by Yeovil Town Council’s planning and licensing committee on Monday (September 22, 2014), but a final decision will be made by the district authority.
