SOMERSET NEWS: Motorcyclist killed in crash

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a collision between a motorbike and a car in which a 53-year-old man died.

The collision happened at a crossroads near a water pumping station in Old Wells Road, Leigh-on-Mendip, near Frome, at around 4.30am on Friday (September 12, 2014).

The victim, who was riding a Suzuki motorbike, has been formally identified as Trevor House, from Coleford.

The driver of the car, a BMW, was uninjured.

Investigator Amy Gilbertson, of the Collision Investigation Unit, is appealing for anyone who saw either of the vehicles prior to the collision, or the actual collision, to come forward.
