YEOVIL NEWS: The Glovers are NOT Pointless – that’s official!

FANS of the BBC quiz show Pointless will this afternoon (Tuesday, September 16, 2014) have been shouting at the TV when the contestants were given one question to think about involving Yeovil Town FC.

The object of the game is for contestants not only to provide correct answers, but also provide the most obscure possible correct answers.

The points-per-answer are based on how many out of 100 people prior to the show give the same answer; with contestants looking for answers with the least amount of points with the answer having zero points the ultimate target.

This afternoon the contestants were given a question in which they had to name football clubs with the featured nicknames – including The Glovers, nickname of Yeovil Town FC.

The other nicknames were The Potters, The Owls, The Canaries, The Cherries and The Foxes – Stoke City, Sheffield Wednesday, Norwich City, AFC Bournemouth and Leicester City respectively.

And it was Yeovil which recorded the least number of points – five. So although The Glovers were the most obscure out of the six nicknames featured, they certainly were not Pointless.
