SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: A303 reopens after man falls from bridge
THE A303 between South Petherton and the Cartgate roundabout on the outskirts of Yeovil has fully re-opened this morning (Thursday, September 11, 2014) after a man fell from a bridge.
It is understood that the emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 7.15am.
Paramedics found that a 20-year-old man appeared to have fallen from a bridge over the A303 and had suffered a head and pelvis injuries.
Police closed the road while the situation was dealt with and the man was flown to hospital in Bristol by the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
The road has now reopened.
