YEOVIL NEWS: Serious assault in Newton Road
A MAN is being questioned by police in Yeovil this morning (Saturday, August 23, 2014) following a serious assault in the town.
Police were called out at just before 7.30am to an incident in Newton Road, Yeovil, where they found a man had suffered a number of injuries.
It is understood that a 29-year-old man has been arrested and is currently in custody.
Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed what happened to contact them on 101.
People writing on social media have said that there is a pool of blood by a doorway of a property in Newton Road.
The victim has been taken to hospital.
