SOMERSET NEWS: Woman suffers from smoke in grill pan fire
A WOMAN needed medical help this morning (Wednesday, August 20, 2014) after suffering from smoke inhalation following a fire at a Somerset home.
Three fire engines from Shepton Mallet, Castle Cary and Glastonbury were mobilised at just before 11am to the incident in West Shepton, Shepton Mallet, following reports of a property full of smoke and an alarm sounding.
A spokesman for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: “On arrival of the first crew it was confirmed that this was a grill pan left unattended on an electric cooker.
“An ambulance was requested for a female suffering from smoke inhalation.”
